His argument against a downtown stadium makes many points so obvious one has to wonder why the downtown options are even given serious consideration. Regarding Rob Quigley’s “A Stadium Is Not A Ballpark” (Feb. Imagine living in the permanent shadow of such a mammoth monolith? Game days would pose a congested nightmare and the structure would sit empty far more days than not. A new stadium downtown just doesn’t make sense and would wall off everything around it. Illuminating information, but I believe Rob Quigley’s is the better argument. I have avidly followed any news of a new stadium, but, until now, much of the information was convoluted and confusing.
